It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Flying Dog Brewery here at Beer Utopia so we thought it appropriate to pass along a little news from them. Mike Freeman, Flying Dog’s longest standing employee and brewery manager, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is a very aggressive brain tumor.

Mike’s friends and family are putting together a benefit to help offset some of Mike’s medical expenses. It’s call Rock the Mike and it is taking place August 23 at the old Flying Dog warehouse in Denver from 7p-2a. There will be free beer, free food, several bands, and a raffle.
