I’ve seen people open beer bottles with lots of things from a dollar bill to a lighter but I’ve never seen this before. WikiHow.com has a tutorial for opening a bottle with a ring, including a video demonstration.

Frankly this looks as dangerous as it does cool. I can envision many damaged rings and fingers while trying to perfect this technique so proceed at your own risk.
