If you are a craft beer lover, you probably already know that drinking from the bottle is a no-no when it comes to enjoying the complexities of good beer. What you may not know is that choosing the proper glass for a particular brew will help enhance the experience of drinking that particular beer. The shape of the glass can enhance aroma, carbonation, and drinkability.

Slashfood has an online guide for choosing the proper vessel for different kinds of beer. They also have guides for wine and other beverage glasses if you’re into that sort of thing. Breweries sometimes offer special glasses for specific beers, like the Sam Adams Boston Lager glass or New Belgium’s globe glass, but Slashfood keeps it simple, highlighting nine different styles of glasses.
